The BC Lung Association (BC Lung) exists to give the 1 in 5 British Columbians affected by lung and breathing conditions, hope, help and a voice. Established over a century ago to help fight tuberculosis, BC Lung was amongst the first to tackle smoking, and make the connection between air pollution and lung health. Today, BC Lung continues the fight supporting patients and caregivers, funding vital lung health initiatives, educating BC on safeguarding their own lung health, and fighting for policies that protect clean air.
Aligned in their commitment to promoting respiratory health, the BCSRT is currently working with BC Lung to:
1) increase public awareness of respiratory therapists (RTs) and their vital role.
2) improve patient access to respiratory health support online.
3) collaborate in the delivery of professional development opportunities.
